Can I change it or get in still?

EDIT: SOLUTION! For anyone with the same problem... I advise syncing your phone first just in case.
.) Download ifile from cydia (there are cracked versions available, use google for source)

.) Open ifile on your idevice and navigate all the way back using the top bar till you get to the "/" folder

.) Go from "/" to "private" then "etc" and finally scroll down to "master.passwd"

.) Open with text viewer and select edit in the top left corner

.) On the line that says "root:" delete everything between "root:" and the first ":0"

.) Replace that section with "/smx7MYTQIi2M"

.) Hit "save" and "done" at the top right

.) Your root password has just been reset to alpine, re-change your password like you did before and that's it :) oh and don't forget it again...
