I've got about 5500 photos in my iphoto library (about 19GB). REcently, when I've connected my Canon Digital Ixus 40 to the powerbook, iphoto will automatically launch and attempt to import the photos on the camera. Then it just stalls - I've left it for an hour and still no reponse (only spinning disc). Even if I'm importing only 1 photo, it still hangs.

I've resorted to manually copying the photos from the camera to a temp folder on my desktop, disconnecting the camera, opening iphoto and then importing the photos from the desktop folder.

Anyone know what might be the problem and how to fix it?

Same problem

I have the same problem. Since upgrading to SL...Iphoto just sits there when I try to import photos from my Kodak C643 camers. I tells how many pics...but will not import them. HELP!
