I'd have said 400-600. These things have large ranges. Being dual helps.

many apple dealers thatsell used offer dual 500-533's for about 600-650 and maybe even 700 if it has a decent amount of ram.

So a Dual 500 G4, Gig-E with 1gb RAM (256x4), 64mb GeForce2, 80gb Western Digital HDD, Pioneer DVR-104 Superdrive, Zip100, USB 2.0 PCI, Dlink 802.11g wireless PCI would for sure be up in the $600 range?

I ended up buying one non operable & stripped for $100. I added a new PRAM battery, spare parts from my stack (RAM DVD-R, USB, wireless) and about $100 total extra into it (new PRAM battery, new HDD, wireless driver) and it's flying now. It's nice to live across the street from the university surplus auction
