When is your MP shipping?

I have the same, 23rd.

I'm hoping its a massive over estimation like with my macbook, said 2 weeks and arrived in few days... prob not thou.

I ordered a QUAD 3.2 GHz and was told "ship in 7-10 days".

Haven't gotten an exact date yet since I got a BTO. Will probably get an email from apple in the next day or two.

same 8/23 ship and 8/26 arrive. Do these dates usually stick on could this go quicker based on past new systems?

Where are these shipping from? Are they doing the finally assembly in the US for US based customers?

I got the 23:th here as well (Sweden). Shipment seems to take a bit longer, ETA is 1:th of September here, but that could of course change when they got their logistics up and running based on number of orders etc. etc. etc

I have a ship date Aug 23, delivery Aug 26.

Which puts the ship date at 11 business days (a little longer than the 7-10 days advertised). I ordered an 8-core as-is (no BTO).

I still haven't gotten my confirmation email...

Confirmation email for a Quad MP indicates a ship date of Aug 23.

I had ordered the 3.2 Quad last night, but then my wife actually convinced my to up purchase to the 6-Core (which surprised me to be honest), so I said, alright sure, why not. Cancelled and got the 6-Core now.

Also got the HD 5870.

That 27" LED will just have to wait until next year I guess.

I went to place the educational order this morning and noticed the free iPod offer, but the fine print said the offer was good though Sep. 7th?

"*Buy a qualifying Mac and iPod from Apple or a participating Apple Authorized Campus Store from May 25, 2010, through September 7, 2010, and receive an online rebate up to $199 (or instant rebate where required by state law)."

I wonder if you're going to be charged the $199 for the iPod as we're obviously past the 7th?

Well, the pending charge just appeared on my credit card, so hopefully thats a good sign.

Nope, I bet it is just a hold on your card. You won't get "charged" until your Mac Pro ships. Apple states this on their website. But, we can all hope

I ordered the same one and it shows as shipping on the 23rd of August with delivery on the 26th.

I'm eager to buy RAM and an SSD but will wait until closer to delivery in case I need to return one or both of them if there is a problem.

I just got off the phone with customer relations (I'm getting my '08 mac pro replaced with a '10 because it's been repaired 4 times and still broke) they said because this is a "Pro" machine, they get priority for building and shipping, I think 2 weeks is just to cover themselves in case there's a massive flood of orders.
