Right - all of a sudden, iTunes decides on springing new stuff on me. I just opened it up, and besides the EQ icon, and the Visualizer Flower icon (basically at the bottom right) a new button sprang up. It said 'computer' and had a volume next to it. I clicked on it and it let me select between 'computer' and 'Deathprod' (!!!) I clicked 'deathprod' and it started to connect, but took ages, so i left it. Then the icon went. What is that???

I have one of those buttons on mine - but mine appeared after I got my Express and the networks are the stereo brands.

Sounds like someone near you had an Express plugged in nearby?

Ah! that would sound right. It said something about Airport. How close would they have to be?

but how???

Airport Expresses use Rendezvous (actually, was is it called now) to automatically broadcast its location. Once your computer sees it via Airport it will then add it to iTunes so you can select it as a sound destination.

It was probably a fair way away, hence the delay in connecting to it.
