iPod touch Ipod Touch 3rd Generation Will not update/restore

Hi all, I have had this problem before, and some how got it working but don't now how.. After trying to update to the new OS 4 update thing, it was restoring, but then suddenly I get an error code 14. However, now, when it's restoring, it just freezes at a certain point... Sometime the restoring loads further but then sometimes less.

I really don't know what to do. Any help is greatly appreaited! If someone could please maybe link me to an older version of an update if that might help?

Have you looked at the section labeled "Specific error codes and resolutions" section of this support article? Without knowing more about your computer such as the OS its running, the version of iTunes, I can't provide any more help...
 
I had this same exact problem -- i had jailbroken ipod touch 3g trying to update to iOS4. I t Kept hanging, the problem was that i had wifi sync installed on my computer it messes up restore belive in or not.

If you have it installed visist there web site for in struction on how to uninstall


then all should be fine :)
