cant untick internet sharing!

ok, let me explain the situation, i have an 13.3 aluminium macbook (before apple turned the alu mb into mbp)

i use an ethernet cable from my laptop to my xbox 360 to enable me to get onto xbox live. For this i have internet sharing ticked to on.

however now i cannot turn internet sharing off! The tick will not dissapear, and its not locked at this point btw.

any advice on what to do would be greatly appreciated!

Do you have the preference pane locked? I think you wrote that the padlock is unlocked, just checking
