after I plug in my iPod, and say 20-30 minutes later, it falls asleep. It still has the "Do not disconnect" sign on it, though it is not viewable in iTunes or on the desktop...

What's up with that? I usually just log out, then back in, though that sucks when I have a ton of apps open and I need to take another file off the iPod.

To tell you the truth if you go to one of the large iPod databases online (ipodhacks.com, some other stuff) you read up on how you can run diagnostics, I suggest you do that, otherwise, take it back. Go to the genius bar and tell them the problem, they'll probably jsut give you a new one, no problem.
