MacBook Gold is a brillant marketing idea that Apple should actually use!

That being said, I don't get the tag line. "We recommend the kitchen" -- what does that mean? That the MacBook is hotter than the kitchen? It sounds cute, but I don't get it.

Fantastic competition, if I say so myself. Got to give props to the czar for moderating it smoothly.

All great entries, very creative. The race for best video ad was as tight as the time I competed in the 100-meter dash with spandex shorts one size too small.

I already have ad ideas for the next million or 5, and it'll be in the vein of liketom's tune your run entry.

I actually registered on this forum now only to tell you how extraordinarily great your 'generations' ad is. With a few minor changes (more non-static images and smooth transitions) this would EASILY beat Apple's own iPod ads. Talk about fantastic idea, style, and feel! Great work!!!

^^Wow, that's a rather nice compliment to SpicyApple.

And I agree, although I do see quite a few entries in both categories that beat out Apple's own efforts, so congratulations to everyone (who did a good job).

There is some really excellent work here but for me 'Generations' stands out head and shoulders - brillant.

Very much agree. I very much enjoyed the Generations ad.

I wonder if there's a possibility of collaborating with Apple on a contest.

There's so much buzz these days about "consumer-generated content." What's so incredible about this content is how it's more on the mark with what the company wants to communicate than what many agencies create.

I guess that's because people on here are Apple enthusiasts and agencies are just there to earn their money!

Tune your run just looked liked a low production values version of the ad that appears on the nike website, am afraid that this didn't seem to deserve any place amongst the winners. The tied video finalists were both excellent (ironic choice of song with "the winner is" or is that just extreme confidence ), and the print ad was by far and away the best video ipod mock up i have seen to date.

One day, I will build this interface. I just need some help from some crazy russian scientists to create the kerenzikov neurojack and you'll see then.

Great work.

Congrats to the winners and well done to all those who took part. I was going to submit an entry but was too late - I was looking at the counter on the front page, thinking I still had plenty of time. d'oh! Oh well, maybe for the 4 millionth...

Awsome

Great competition, great submissions, great winners! Kudos to the participants!!

For prizes next time, how about engraved iPods; "Winner of MacRumors Apple Ad Competition 200X" or similar?
