For whatever reasons, some people assumed the new chips were overclocked by Apple.

I assume the 1250 means Mhz... and unless Apple etched it into Motorola's chips... it looks like they are officially 1.25GHz.

Yeah it's interesting. still the same old 18 micron process.
Think about it, if they can get 1.25Ghz out of it at that size, where will it go when they drop to .13 and then to .09?

There's life in the old dog yet yaknow.
