    available yes. affordable... not for a while

    while desktop ram has plumeted laptop ram still remains somewhat pricy...

    no they didn t make one for the ibook. the mobo has to be ddr 266 compatible

    Crucial Sells them as well

    For $999 you can get a Crucial PC2100 SODIMM. Part number is: CT12864X265.

    Just a matter of time for prices to drop. Once more manufactures have them in quantity you should see them for probably little more than double the 512MB price. I think more because the demand will be high and the quantity will be less for a while.

    i think by the time we see these floating all over for a good price our little 12" G4 PowerBooks will be even more obsolete than they already are;)

    awesome.

    I just hope no one comes up with the crazy idea to put 4 of the desktop versions into their mac and expect 4 GB to show up....
