I am having trouble with the SMB server in 10.1. I cannot access any of the machines on my network (all Win2k). Is there so way of testing (i cant connect in terminal) or getting it to run? thanx heaps

There is a greatdiscussion going on in the Apple support sight regarding how to set up an SMB server. Sorry can't remeber the exact adress to put in to the -go-connect to server - but you will find it there.

As for SMB it only works for OSX programs. You will have to use AFP for classic programs, however most of us (if not all) are finding that an AFp mounted disk will crash on your desktop.
I saw one person post that they had it working and were on a Win200 server. I however am on an NT server and it is impossible to get classic in OSX to connect.

I have had to change a whole lab of computers back to OS9.
