Does anyone out there use OS X 10.3.6 and a Powerbook 1.33 with games such as Diablo ii Lord of Destruction? I do, and I get horrible, almost unplayable framerates sometimes. Most of the time it's fine, but certain enemies just slow it down really badly. This is an old game and a new computer, so I looked around and I read on a forum somewhere that this has been true only since 10.3.6. Does anyone know if this is true?

If so, would it be the new graphics card drivers? And if so, is there some way to go back to the old drivers without scaling back the rest of the system? And if that's not possible, would it be worth going back to 10.3.5? And how would I do that?

Sorry I have so many questions! But thanks!

Oh, and one last one - is there any way I can make it display my framerate?

I've got the older 1.25 15" - Diablo 2 plays fine. Have you got the updater for the game (ie the one to play native under OS X)?

OpenGL is really really slow when there are enemies visible. But at least software works.
