$100 laptop prototype demo

    The chief technical office of Opera has a prototype of the so called $100 laptop (or OLPC - "one laptop per child") and gives a demo:

    Looks very interesting... I love what they're trying to do with this project, and it seems they're well on their way to making it happen.

    I might actually get one. It looks great for basic Word Processing, emails and web browsing, plus working with Linux etc... something I do in school quite a bit...

    I read that they would sell them in the west for double the price $200 and then for each laptop we buy they give 1 free to a child in africa and hence you will endup with a pen friends kind of scenario. Seems a great idea.

    thats awesome if true.

    their prototypes are coming along. i think its a good cause in the end.
