Hi guys,
I am planning on getting more to see out of my 867 powerbook. The specs claim that it can support upto 1600:1200- any idea if it can use the native resolution of this monitor? I mean even if it outputs 4:3 aspect ratio, I would be glad if it uses up the 1050 vertical pixels of the Dell 2005FPW (ie outputting at 1400:1050). I am planning on getting a powermac sometime next year and then I can use the full resolution.

Decision basis:
2005FPW accepts VGA input (+ DVI for future)
On sale now for $486 (compared to $700 from apple)
price close to other conventional (4:3) dual input 19 inch LCD anyway (ranges between 350-450, but not future proof)

I would greatly appreciate any thoughts and suggestions.

Cheers,
SPYDR

I would imagine with 32mb of vram that it should be able to power it. Expose vprobably wont work as well even if working by itself. VGA will It produce that resolution. Good luck with your purchase I am planning on getting when I purchase my new PB.
