I have a buddy who has a G4 17" Powerbook. It is in great shape and he has upgraded the memory to 2GB. He put the 100 GB hard drive with bluetooth and AE into it. He has had it for about 9 - 10 months and it has Applecare. What would something like this sell for?

    Thanks

    -Matt

True, but it can't turn into a sale there, as you're only allowed to sell items you yourself own. Just an FYI.

^^^^ That is why I posted it here. I looked over the rules and since I'm not selling it for him but just interested in what the price would be I decided to post it here....

Anymore ideas on how much this is worth??

Is that the newest rev.? I'd definitely agree with the others and sell it for around $1800-$2000. Maybe he could even go for closer to $2200 if he's lucky.

I'm not sure he'll get past $1600. Powerpc value has gone down significantly and I see 15 inch aluminum powerbooks going from 750-900 dollars. 17 inches might be a different story though, so I think your best bet is ebay. Some people will pay a lot of money for a maxed out machine that can still run photoshop natively. Either way, good luck! I hope you get the most out of that system.
