$1800 for a left-over 17" PB good deal?

    My local Apple store has a returned left-over 17" PB for $1800. Good deal?

    Standard configuration of the left-over model - 1.67GHz G4 - 100GB Hard Drive - 1440x960 screen, etc.

    sounds like a good deal but is it beat up?


    Ask them to open the box up first if all seems well then it would be a good deal!

    yeah, I agree. Although, if you're a student, you can get the new 15" powerbook for the same price new from apple. Same screen real estate in a smaller package with a brighter screen and DL superdrive. Just something to consider...

    If the Apple Store near you charges $3600 for a 17"PB, you might want to consider going to another one....

    I have not seen it yet but it should be in good shape. One of those that were returned within 14 days.
