Other than the screen size and the extra graphics power what else is the difference?

Seems these two machines are very close in terms of specs, price, build and looks.

I look forward to seeing benchmarks.

    firewire port, resolution and graphics.

uh, that's it ( but the last 2 is a big difference maker if you're a gamer )

I'm not a gamer, nor a firewire user.

Is there nothing else that makes the MBP version a faster machine other than the grahics?

In addition to the obvious larger screen. Don't forget that you can still get the "old" MBP without the glossy screen.

Also the fire wire port could be awfully useful in the future if you get an external drive for Time Machine.

The new RAM is faster and so is the FSB.

Is the macbook pro worth the extra £250?

For me I'm not sure, I will be hooking it up to a 20inch screen when needed. Spec-wise not much difference? not £250 worth anyway.
