Moving from a Mac Pro 2010 with 4 drive bays to an iMac 5k with a 3TB fusion.

4 Bay is a luxury I don't need so what is a good option to house two existing 7200 2TB Black drives? Upgrading each to 4TB may also be an option.

I use a 4 bay Thunderbolt 4 with mine. There are 2 hard disks installed along with a Windows BootCamp SSD. That leaves 1 bay open for future expansion.

OWC also has a 2 bay "Elite Pro Dual" Thunderbolt/USB3.0 enclosure which I have used as well. It can be configured as JBOD (independent disks) or if desired, as hardware RAID 0 or 1 or simple SPAN.

Is the goal redundancy/safety, or performance, or just a bunch of more space? I think for TM you would want a USB3 with Raid 1 capabilities.
