That's one sweet suitcase. I'd pay $500 for it... not $20,000 though.

For that price, I'd have to be able to drive it to and from the airport!

This is a fine example of wrongly pricing a product. Sure, its a luxury item, but if he were to price it in the 1,000-2,500 dollar range, he would easily sell 100 times more, making a lot more money.

As it is, ANYONE who could afford a $20,000 piece of luggage has the kind of money and lifestyle to have their own jet, assistants, and drivers that they wouldnt need a $20k dollar suitcase.

Not much room to carry your stuff with you though.
Didn't see a price tag either.

Wonder if its more or less??

    It's lovely.

Just looks the biz. I'd love one.

Shame about Mr Henk's ego, think that's what puts the price right up.

Very cool... and just in time for Christmas! I'd rather have that and a Cooper Mini than an H2 -- and I think the total price would be less....

Well, it's designed to be a carry-on so, no, it's not that big.

The fact that it is even available at this price point clearly indicates that there someone who is in the market to spend this kind of money and not feel it in the wallet.

that is one hell of a suitcase. the design work that has gone into that is immense. by the look of things the materieals will have cost a few thousand.

the reason why it is so expensive is that it is meant to be exclusive. they say on the site they are only making a few hundred a year.

    i want one!

well i checked out the site last night, seemed very exclusive, and they are only making a maximum of 3000 a year, the production costs of something like this must be pretty high, and its customizable as well, its not worth the price tag, but its an elitest thing

now if they were cheaper, you would start seeing them all over, which is what i believe Henk does not want

Sounds similar to Apple's theories on computers. Having an Apple is to some degree a status symbol, or at the very least a symbol and tribute to your intelligence in making computer purchases. If Apples could be had for $400, any ol' schmuck could buy one  and of course we can't have THAT now can we Steve!! :(

Better have a G5 built into it. Then I'd buy it..

and I thought Brenthaven cases were expensive.
