    Does the 20" ACD support 720p ?
If it does, whats the catch ? There is always a catch (Low response rate, pixels die quickly, etc)

The ACD supports 720p. Like most 20" flat panels it has a 1680x1050 resolution... more then enough for 720p, not quite enough for 1080p.

I'm not sure what you mean by catch... you don't really have to give anything up (other then more cash) to get a display with more then 720 vertical pixels.

Compared to other 20" displays (like the dell 2007wfp) the ACD is significantly more expensive, has fewer inputs (only DVI), and has a worse contrast ratio / response time. It is however more color accurate, has SWAP certification, and looks much better then the Dell.

I have a 20" ACD and it can handle 1080p. It just scales the video down. However, I don't know if you're talking about your monitor being hooked up to some sort of TV, then I don't know. But, I know that my Mac Pro can play 1080p videos perfectly.

That's true, you can get 1080P on a 15 inch moniter if you scale it down, but true 1080P is quite magnificant. I just wish they came out with 1080P 20" moniters. Wouldn't that be somethin...
