I've posted this in the big Panther thread with no response, so I figure I'd try it out here.

What do you get for the $20? Do they ship you a retail box, or do they just ship you the CDs like they do for ADC? Or is it just a new restore CD but w/ Panther?

Whatever the deal was for Jaguar and education, I don't think that we got a box through that deal, just the sleeve of disks, I could be wrong, and this could be a totally different story...

For the educational jaguar cd's...they came in a cheap little plastic sleeve and came with the software licsence paper, it was not to be resold

i guess that the panther cd will be the same ( take with a grain of salt)

but really does it matter? as long as it works and its not 129 dollars

I purchased Jaguar through the Ed store online and it came in the retail box.

    Regards,
    Gus

Was the free teacher edition available at the immediate release, or was that a promo to get Jaguar into education after it had been out a while and the education market wasn't biting?

    Panther Disc

Does the Up to Date offer include a full copy of Panther or just an upgrade from 10.2?

I qualified for the Jaguar upgrade last year, and it was just that..an upgrade. No clean install option...had to be installed over OSX.
I hope it's different for Panther as I've qualified for it as well (new powermac). Anybody know?

I would certainly hope that they would send the Panther CD in the box. One of those that really likes to have the box.

Every time I've had to send of for up-to-date CDs they've arrived in paper wallets with the regular "Welcome to Mac OS Whatever" manual.

The only exception to the rule has been the 10.1 up-to-date which came its own cardboard folder.

If you guys are wanting the full version (like I am), just wait until people start receiving them... then you can buy it if its what ya want. So who's going to be the first to post whether they are full or upgrade discs? :)
