All personal and therefore highly subjective...

    Best moments:
    • New dual 2.5 PMs & being one of the first in the UK to get them (x3)
    • Regent Street Apple Store (London)
    • (Not strictly Apple) Finding this site, registering & meeting some really nice, helpful & also (intentionally) hilarious people that are passionate about their Macs.

    Worst moments:
    • Disappointing range of music on iTMS UK
    • Reaching breaking point with the awful racket coming from my dual MDD G4 and spending a lot of money to shut it up with a Verax kit.
    • Where o where are the TV spots for the iMac or any other computer from Apple? iPods: I like, but enough already...

Looking into my crystal ball for Apple's 2005...
    • Newer, faster computers (duh...)
    • 80gb iPod
    • Tiger (double duh...) This will outsell boxed versions of Panther.
    • Poss. rev B cinema displays or repositioning of price points for them

    the great OKLAHOMA....

    1.)Easily the ipod Photo

    2.) The Dual 2.5

3.) In January I joined this forum, and This site keeps me sane!

4.) The suprise that the iMac G5 looked better than all of those hideous drawings people made.

    Worst -
People talking about G5 powerbooks coming out every Thread.

2.) Not making iTunes worldwide (and i am kinda disapointed no dual 3.0)

    1) Nvidia fx5200 (get rid of it apple!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
    2) Steves 3.0 GHz promise, they didn't even manage to deliver the 2.5GHz on time. (Hearing that they still have problems with supplies)
    3) Nvidia fx6800 problems (they are hopefully fixed soon)
    4) iMac G5 PSU problems
    5) The Powerbooks are getting outdated

    1) iMac G5 !!!! It's fast cheap and silent!

Here is my contribution. IMO the best/worst starting at #1

    1. iMac G5
    2. iPod Mini
    3. Sub $1g price point for iBooks again
    4. 30" Cinema Display

    1. No iMacs available september
    2. Seriously outdated Powerbooks
    3. Discontinuation of single processor Powermacs upon updates
    4. Nvidia FX5200
    5. No 17" Cinema Displays

    Big Freakin Deal:

    1. Ipod Photo(to much of a niche thing at its price point)
    2. Reintroduction of single processor Powermac after introduction of G5 iMac

Thats all i can think of right now.

    1) iMac G5, for all the obvious reasons.
    2) Expose (My 1st use in the new iMac, God it's a great feature)

    1) iMac G5, 'cause it could've been so much more.
    2) AppleWorks stagnant.
    3) Missed opportunities.

    Would like to see
    1) AppleWorks ‘05 / iWorks. (I'm not saying it's past it but spellchecking still picks up iMac and AppleWorks FFS!)
    2) iTablet 10”
    3) Media Centre type addition to iLife. PVR etc.
    4) Autodesk's AutoCAD for OSX.
    5) Appreciation for the above ideas in the form of one each delivered to my door along with a Dual 3Ghz PM & 42” Cinema Display.

Best: 30" Cinema Display, iMac, Joining MR.
Worst: DELAYS on displays and 2.5ghz PM

Other than that, I would say it was a great Apple year.

    Gone but not forgotten.

    1) iMac G5
    2) Apple owning up to the iBook problem
    3) Apple finally dropping the ADC monitor connection
    4) Expanded iPod range

    1) Apple's continual lack of communication with developers and customers
    2) Apple's lack of advertisement for anything but the iPod
    3) Various hardware problems that should have been caught in quality control
    4) Panther's uneven quality

MY best moment with Apple for 2005...

This former Windows/PC user was introduced to Apple with a 3G iPod in Jan...
And ended up switching all work / home computers to Macs by the end of the year...

    all great moments for me

for me: Apple: It just works! (switched from B&W G3 to Ti-PbG4 to Dual G5 with no problems ever!)

No Virusses whatsoever (I like to repeat and repeat this to a friend who gets viral infections and spyware all over the place and hates his new cheap PC laptop)

for a friend: Apple: it just doesn't want to work -right away- (switched from beige G3 (wich fried the logic board last year) to iBookG4 (harddrive faillure + touchpad not working) & Dual G5 (fried ram & logicboard)

and I have to second someone on this: their price... I don't mind paying that much for my big G5, but the iBooks are still a bit overpriced compared to the PC counterparts...

Happy newyear and so on ;)

    Best 2005: Headless Mac :D

Best of 04 - iMac. Better than I was expecting.
iBook. Amazing value, especially compared to Powerbook but even compared to Dell.
Logic 7.0 Express. This program is very far from "express": it's a fully dedicated, incredibly complex (and complicated) music production suite.

Worst of 04 - Cinema displays. No low end display? Ugly design (what's with the plastic sides?). INSANE pricing! This is so typical of all the flaws in Apple.
Complete gap in the specs of iPods. No options between 4 gigs and 20 gigs? What is that!
eMac. This bloated hideous thing no longer has value compared to the iMac. A complete reversal.

Best of 05 - The iMac mini. Rounded corners, available in different anodized aluminum colour schemes. I've been betting on this coming for a year.

    a profane existence
-Recieving my first Powerbook and iPod and free printer and $10 :D
    -iMac design
    -New Cinema Displays
-Price of refurb. eMacs. I was telling my parents to purchase a "newer" mac w/built in cd burner and firewire. Maybe a iMac G3 500 or something. But, with refurb eMacs at very reasonable prices, that G3 iMac looks less great. And now a rumor of a headless G4 iMac at $499. Even better :D

-No major PB processor advancement. Heard about that Freescale dual-core thingy before my purchase but I needed a new computer for school and could not wait.
    -not reaching 3GHz for PM
    -no carring handle on eMac's
-having to pay sales tax on my PB in Washington when I could have driven to Portland.
-Oh, and the price of my PB even with Edu. discount.

    2. PM G5 shipping delays
    3. iPod mini shipping delays
    4. iMac G5 delays

    - G5 iMac
    - Unrelenting success of iTMS
    - Shareprice escalation

    - Marginality of PB upgrades
    - iPod drought in the market place
    - Buying my AE in LA to make a killing on the exchange rates, 4 weeks before Apple released AirportExpress  D'oh!

    Two best:
    1. Buying this G4 iMac in February
    2. Having ZERO system crashes (after a while, see worst)

    Two worst:
    1. Having to take the iMac into the Apple Store due to constant/random crashes/freezes. Fortunately, the cause was bad PMU settings - something that the Apple Store folks can fix easily.
    2. Being unable to decide exactly how I wanted my iMac configured, so I reformatted and reinstalled about 10 times
