All,
On two differemt 2010 13" BTO Macbook Air's we are having problems. When connecting VGA external monitors, the external monitor will periodically (maybe every few minutes) get an extremely annoying quiver which only lasts about 5 seconds. This is dis-orienting and makes the machine hard to use in this way.
These monitors never, ever have this problem on multiple different PC laptops that connect to them. Conclusion = not a monitor issue.
Connecting using a DVI connection from the Air doesn't produce the behavior - but occasionally I need VGA where I am. Has anyone experienced/solved this?
I've tried different VGA dongles to see if that would fix the problem - but no joy. Seems to happen more when I have the clamshell open as well as the external display, than when using in clamshell closed mode.
I'd appreciate your thoughts,
David Fields
