Want a second hand laptop for taking away to work ( offshore ) want it for FaceTime with home, emails, Internet browsing, watching movies, playing footy manager and using Citrix.
Which one should I go for of the above options?

Hard to say as they are comparable machines. The processors are from the same class most likely so a ghz here or there won't matter much. Obviously performance w/ the SSD versus a regular HD is significant, so if you don't need the storage space, then go with the Air. Plus, it'll be a lot easier to carry. :)

The air would be perfect. Like the guy above said, if storage space isn't a problem, go with that.

MY wife has the air and I have the pro, other than boot time and app loading times there's very little in it. For day to day stuff the air is fantastic, for slightly heavier work, say photo editing and video encoding the pro had the edge. For your needs I'd suggest the air. It's faster for loading/booting and real nice fot carrying about.
