Hello I have a 2013 MacBook Air and am trying to get an ssd for it.

The prices are pretty insane for these models but the 2012 models are a bit more reasonable ..

I was worn wrong if there was any way that the 2012 MacBook Air ssd would work in a 2013 model

Thanks

They aren't compatible. The 2012 MacBook Air used a SATA type blade SSD, and the 2013 MacBook Air uses the newer PCIe style SSD. It's much faster and a little smaller too. It's also proprietary so a used one taken from another MacBook Air is really the only way to upgrade it, thus why it's kind of a what you order is what you get type of deal.
