Today I noticed my machine was awake in the morning. I went through the logs and found that there was a first time GPU issue log (summary below) and now the machine refuses to sleep as well. Nothing has changed, same software/hardware connected as it has for nearly a year. I unplugged everything, turned off file sharing/printer sharing, disconnected all external devices except a mouse and keyboard. Still won't sleep.

Next I reset my SMC and PRAM. Still won't sleep.

Below is the GPU log in my HD/Library/DiagnosticReports folder that happened 15 times at 12:32am.

This is similar to the problems I've been having as well. I'm on 10.10.5

I hope this is just software and will eventually be fixed. I sent my nMP to the genius bar and they are doing a full diagnostic (apparently takes 4 hours), looking at all the console logs, and replacing both GPU's and the motherboard.

Why are they doing a full hardware check and replacing the motherboard and GPU if they think its software related? doesn't make sense.

I was asking OP (AppleDroid).

I have an older NEC 2690wuxi2 but I finally gave up because none of the diagnostics came back showing any faulty hardware. I did a complete wipe/reinstall of everything, didn't pull over any settings or preferences, and my machine is acting normally again. I seriously have no idea what caused it because I hadn't done any major system updates or installed new software. If it happens again I'm definitely taking back to Apple and demanding a replacement, diagnostics be damned.

There is now a legal court action regarding this machine and we all have to support it..I am posting here and on the other link to get everyone up to date and aware..

No more should we suffer this..
