I was loving the performance of my new 24" iMac until I started playing games. Unreal 2004 is averaging less than 20 fps and is typically dipping into single digits when more action is on screen, making the game unplayable. I have put all the game settings on their lowest and I have tried every resolution, with no improvement. Even the game Redline gets choppy quite frequently. I have the upgraded video card and 2GB of RAM. wtf? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Running XP or mac operating system ?

If running on the mac, have you updated your games to the Universal Binary / Intel version ?

Thats odd, isn't UT2004 PPC only? I know some stuff in Rosetta can run slow regardless of the system (or the actual system requirements of the app, regardless of how low or high they are), Aleph One (non UB) works pathetically slow on my MBP, and the situation isn't much better on my 3GB Mac Pro.
