Can no longer minimise Finder/safari etc.

I do not know what i have done but the button for minimise (the yellow one) no longer appears for Safari windows and Finder windows. I never actually use this function but just wondered what might have caused this.

This has happened to my parent's iMac before, quitting the application and reopening it solves the problem.

There's an Exposé bug that can sometimes cause this. iBookG4user's quitting method should fix it up though.
