Looks like they're still selling to me... Almost got a 1GB, mainly to use as a flash drive, then reason took over and I aborted. I don't need it, I wanted it... Hard to pass up though.

    Currently looks like they have both 1GB & 512MB, $59 & $29. I'd buy one if I didn't already have one. :D

Yep.. still available. I just picked up a 512MB model.

Apple store is selling the new earbuds for $29. For the same price I picked up a 512MB Shuffle that includes a pair of earbuds (previous style?). Seems worth it to me.

Besides, I like the 1st gen shuffle better. USB charging on any computer w/o the need to carry around a separate dock. What was Apple thinking with the new 'clip' model?!

Probably. Not surprising, considering that the supply is based mostly on how many broken Shuffles they get back and repair.

Apple must be running the iPod shuffle Reset Utility like mad. There seems to be a pretty good supply. :)

I wanted to get one just for a flash drive, too but my wife frowned at me in that way (you married guys know what I mean), so I didn't do it.

    It's still pretty tempting, though.

Yes, its like $4 or something. I figured I was best off with two of them to save on shipping costs.

Well, I bought one. And to think I paid thrice that for my fiance last year.

I bought one, but decided to format it for windows on my old HP so I could use it for music and file transfers to school, and so I broke down and got 2G shuffle as well. Total cost including tax under $120.

I believe the free shipping is only on orders 50 dollars or above. My shuffle shipped out the same day I ordered it (yesterday). Must be high demand?

Yeah, I think it is $50 minimum. Assuming shipping is like $10, I'd rather spend just save the extra $40 and get a 2G from Amazon. $29 is a great deal though!

This thread is teetering toward extinction, I know, but I just had to rave about my shuffle (received it today -- should've been yesterday, but they delivered whilst I was at work). I didn't buy into the hype when it was first released, but now I am so in love with this little machine. The sharp edges even match my MacBook! :D If the Dock-to-USB adapter comes out for the 2G, I'm definitely picking one of those buggers up.

This is replacing my 5G for day-to-day usage, it's just so versatile and small. And to think... I just bought it to use as a cheap flash drive!
