Cheap refurbished core duo 1.83GHz core duo laptops at the apple store online allow me to get 2 gb of memory and a mouse for $950 instead of buying the exact same core "2" duo with 1 gb ram no mouse for 1025

Im cheap, so whats better though? Seriously, im talking big differences, not tiny ones like 2-3 frame rates. Unless, of course, the macbook frame rate is 5 :p

There isnt really a huge difference between the two. They both have the same GPU. Im pretty sure both have 2MB L2 cache. The only difference is that the C2D has 64 bit support, which you need to decide if you really need. There would be a slight performance increase with the C2D, but nothing spectacular. Other than those things there arent really any significant things you need to know.

Remember that both of them only have to combo drive so you canot burn DVD's
