Forza 2 Screams by at 60fps

I thought this was interesting since the topic came up in at least on recent thread...

Nice to see some "standard" PC framerates getting to some of these HD console systems.

    Aye, progression is nice :)

I liked Forza 1. The only racing sim I ever got into.

Read this over at IGN earlier too. Great stuff. As i said in the other thread we will get 60fps in games but give developers 12 - 18 months (which they have are just starting to reach in 360 land) and they will have optimised there engines, development tools etc...

I wont be getting Forza though as I SUCK at racing games period...

While this will be true in many cases, it's definitely not always that way.

Forza 1 was a last-generation Xbox title and it only managed 30 fps.

Excellent news indeed. I quite liked Forza and racing games in general.

Hard to beat Test Drive Unlimited in pure fun "driving," however. It's very cool.

Is that the one for the 360? Where you're on some big island? Played that at a mates and it was a little alright, then he snapped the disc in 2. I think KillyP saw it too (iChat video thingy).

Yea, that's it. I like how it drives but the cool thing is that the entire game is online aware. So you're driving down the road and a car passes you...it's another player. Flash your headlights ("A" button) and challenge them to a race. Plus, the island is HUGE...it's just one continous driving areana, veruses loading individual tracks.

It's also one of the few games that has AI traffic. That adds a lot to the experience, IMO. Pretty boring driving on empty streets in PGR3 or Forza.

Yeah that's always puzzled me with GT & PGR etc... We want uber realistic driving experience, only in locations with no discernable life...... real oxi-moron driving simulators...
