42" Viewsonic LCD

    It's very low resolution. It's fine for TV, but it'll be painful for computer use unless you're planning to sit fairly far away from it.

    The resolution is awful. I wouldn't be happy with it. Brightness is also just ok, not great.

    Bottom line, however, is that you need to see it in action, and if you like it, then hey, I guess it works for you.

    Of course you also need to figure out whether your room requires a huge screen even if that means you'll only be able to afford a mediocre TV, or if you could accept something smaller (32 or 37"), but go for a quality device.

    It is hardly worth $500. The resolution is bad, no cable TV is bad, it's all silly really. Seems like kind of a waste of cash.

    great, thanks guys...need a 2nd opinon...

    im passing on this one...im going to stick with a toshiba, panasonic and phillips LCD
    in the 37" - 42"

    (still shopping)

    Take a look at the Westinghouse 1080p televisions. I've never seen one in person, but I've heard some good things.:)

    $900 would be in the acceptable range for that Set.

    NO, Not good things from westing house. Its liek goign to bestbuy and buying there house brand "insignia" or what7ever it is. WEstinghouse is not known for there high end electronics.
