    Folks,

    Macnn is reporting the following:

I suspect, based on this bit o' news, that the 64-bit Mac will not be gone from the Power(Pro?)Mac lineup at any time and the transition may go from a 64-bit PPC to a 64-bit Intel.

Just my suspicions since Apple will not say anything about 64 bit on Intel...

    Max.

Well the merom which comes out during the third quarter of this year by intel will be 64 bit and it seems very reasonable that apple will quickly start using them so they can brag that they have the first 64 bit laptop. I'd guess that they'd be out for back to school this year.

They can brag about being almost 2yrs late as AMD had Athlon 64 and Turion 64 CPU's in notebooks for some time.
