Note: This thread is a continuation of the Lost (TV show) thread, which covered seasons 1 through 4. This thread covers Season 5. Discussion continues in the Season 6 thread.

The 5th season premiere of Lost is tomorrow (Wednesday January 21) at 9pm (8pm central).

Who's ready for more Lostiness? :D

I hope we remember what was going on at the end of last season!

I doubt anyone has forgotten:p
Managed to top up my US iTunes account and have purchased season 5.
Here at Tiger Bay it could be months before it hits TV screens.
Will they put Locke in a suitcase to get him back?

Surely

One of the few shows that I'm actually excited for.

I remember most of what is going on, but I'll have to read a brief summary of the last episode to remind myself of everything.

Plus, it'll be nice to see Evangeline Lily on a regular basis again. :D

I'm on this like white on rice. I missed last Wednesdays recap and didn't see it on ITMS. Is it available anywhere else?

Reminder: Once an episode has started its broadcast anywhere, forum members are free to discuss it here. If you want to avoid spoilers, avoid this thread on show days until you've seen the episode in your time zone.

There are so many questions that need answering

1. How did john die?
2. Why do they have to go back - How do they get back there? Time Travel?
3. If they do go back are the people they left behind still alive?

There's a few thousand more questions needing answers before those 3 came along:p

and they've got what, 40? episodes left? less?

They need to answer about 5 questions per episode and avoid introducing new ones in order to finish up.

They're going to have to have just a season where scientist interview Ben so the questions can be answered.

An article I read today suggested that it would be a waste of our time for them to try to tie up all the loose ends, so they shouldn't even bother. Instead of worrying about intelligent black smoke and time traveling bunnies and end-of-the-world numeric sequences, they could just explain why that statue didn't have enough toes at leave it at that.

That would be ok with me.
The nikki(?)paulo(?)/spiders/buried alive episode had no relation to anything.
It's all about the journey, not the destination.:)

some of the questions where likely just red herrings.
i bet they'll have a couple of special after the series is over where they just have short bits that tie most of the egregious loose ends.

i am soo ready for tonight!
