I'm trying to update my new 5s (AT&T) to 7.0.1 and I'm receiving the following message:

iOS 7.0.1 failed verification because you are no longer connected to the Internet.

    I have tried the following:
    • Resetting network settings
    • Rebooting the phone
    • Toggling the phone in/out of airplane mode
    • Wi-Fi and cellular networks
    • Changing DNS servers

Regardless of what I do I get the same error. Does anyone else have this issue or know how to resolve it?

    Update it through iTunes.

When did 7.0.1 come out? Thought it was just 7.0

    nvm, just for 5c/s users.

    It broke my 5s' wifi.

Was working fine on 7.0, did the update to 7.0.1 and now I can't join any networks. I've done reset (network) and reboot and still nothing. Apple started a ticket for me.

Did you try reloading the firmware?

It's strange... I am unable to actually install it. It popped up for me but when I got to install it says "You can install this update when your iPhone is finished restoring from the iCloud backup." It finished hours ago. I rebooted a few times & it's still not working.

Is this update only for the iphone 5s?

Me too, however, I figured out "what" was being downloaded still.

Check your Photos (could still be downloading your camera roll) and iTunes Store (iTunes purchases download automatically as part of the restore).

It doesn't fix the lock screen issue where an intruder can multitask and enter the camera app + share to Facebook/Twitter.

It's not available to me. I'm on OS7 with an iPhone 5. Is the update only for 5s and C owners?

Umm, because it fixes some fingerprint scanner issues and some shared hardware bugs only found in the 5S and 5C.

I think it also fixes problems with ?'s going out of control.

Well there's nothing that can fix both your attitudes. Unfortunately.

That is not the case at least as of this afternoon. My 5C got an update to 7.0.1, everything went ok afaik, still makes WiFi connections and can reach the iTunes Store, weather refreshes, etc etc.

Lovin' the green phone to the max!
