A Bush-Edwards Administration?

    USA Today has an article about the possibility of a tie in the electoral college which could happen very easily if Nevada or a a few other key states vote differently then in 2000.

    The Senate is not bound to choose the VP candidate of their choice, are they? What I mean is, they would likely choose Kerry as their top man and we'd see a Bush/Kerry administration.

    That is what I was thinking. But why Bush/Kerry? Why not Kerry/Bush?

    Because the House (Republican controlled) votes for the Prez and the Senate (likely Democratic controlled) votes for the Veep.

    Do you think it's actually likely that the Senate will go the Democrats in this election? Only possible, I should have thought.

    I would give the Democrats a 1 in 3 shot of taking the Senate.
