I haven't downloaded Flash to my MBA and basically only use Chrome to browse. Since Chrome already has flash built in (flash plugin updated to Flash 11 and loving it :D) all my Youtube and what not needs are satisfied.

Is there any other benefits to installing the full version besides enabling flash content to work on all my other browser?

Should i just keep my system as is?

    Thanks in advance!

    Don't install flash.

Your setup is perfect. Use Chrome when you are plugged in. Use Safari on Battery, unless you must have flash for the page you are visiting (then use Chrome).

This is news to me. I thought Safari was a memory hog and used up more resources including power... battery power when unplug.

Is Safari better optimized when on battery power?

It's all about Flash. If you don't install flash, Safari won't have it, and you'll get much better battery life.

That "memory hog" thread about Safari and battery power was a bunch of hog wash. It is sad that this kind of misinformation is spewed freely.
