    Hi,

I dont know how to fix this.

But my down-arrow-key is not working. It has been dead for along time. I have restarted the computer of course.
I have taken off the little thingy to see if anything is stuck underneath, but no. I doesnt matter how hard i hit it.

The guys at the apple store havent heard about the problem before...
Im going sell my powerbook g4 15,4 1gb (!!!) computer soon but it sucks to have one dead key..

    whattayathink?

The guy's at the Apple Store haven't heard about a dead key?!? When did they start working there...about three minutes before you walked in?

If it's not something simple (which it looks like it isn't, based on what you've done so far), it involves a full keyboard replacement, which runs about $150 unless you're still under warranty or AppleCare.

No, the part itself costs about $35, $115 for labor to install that thing is outrageous!

I had mine replaced on my PowerBook under AppleCare, and it was $65 for the part and $85 for the labor...of course I didn't owe a penny, and they replaced my pitted top case while they were at it.
