    Nice.

    Rush? Sean? Michael?

Wow, they really think people are stupid.

    Pretty pictures for stupid people.

Fascinating reading all in all. Probably just more tinfoil hat stuff though.

    WTF is that?!

    "dominionism"? There's a catchy moniker...

It is as idiotic as it is ironic.

What are they teaching in our schools? (shameless cross-thread sarcastic reference)

Ok, I'm curious, who is Eric Heubeck?
All I can find on him (via google) is links back to this article.
And why are we even talking about an article written in 2001? Rather old news, don't ya think? :)

Not if it has become political practice.

It was taken from this Kos Diary, which also describes how it is currently being put into practise by Karl Rove.

It shows a clear link between the Whithouse and this organization. It doesn't matter if it was written 4 years ago, it shows clear intent. Even collaboration between what this person was suggesting and what the Whithouse is doing.

Where does it all lead? To the Leadership Institute which amazingly offers courses on how to accomplish all of the things outlined.

Funny you mentioned Rove, Xtremehkr. When I read that quote in your initial post, his name was the first thing that leapt to my mind.

There are so many adjectives I could use to describe that philosophy: cynical (in the extreme), manipulative, corrupt, Machiavellian, sociopathic...but there's one word that I think describes it best of all: evil.

    No surprise here.

Every expansive, young empire that's had success without serious repercussions eventually spawns it's own Hellchild regime of psychotic totalitarians. This is a sign of the end of National adolescence.

We're seeing our version of the Torquemada (sp?), the 3rd reich, the Sun King, The Plantageanates (sp?), Nero/Caligula, Stalinist Bolsheviks, The Maoist Regime, etc.

These people are now just solidifying power. They've convinced the majority of the voting public that they know best and that the liberties in the Constitution are no longer unalienable.

Their strategy is as easy to track as their general ideological profile. These are anti-semitic christian fundamentalists bent on global domination backed up by divine right and millitary force. They have chosen to ally openly with Israel while stirring the hornet's nest of those who want Israel gone. This technique nearly assures an apocalyptic conflict in the middle east that will cripple the heart of the two competing Abrahamic religions and slaughter millions of people these Facists hate.

We are entering a decade in which America will spawn the most terrible despot the earth has ever seen.

The conspiracy sites are looking too hard for something that is plainly obvious and exaggerating the minutae to a level that distracts from the core problem: This nation is willingly allowing a genocidal, psychotic group of fanatics to take control of the single most powerful nation in history and weapons our ancestors would never have believed nor wanted to think could ever be concieved.

This despot may not be GWB but I guarantee Rove will pick the centerpiece in this immensely evil plot.

Lest anyone think mischief is being melodramatic, I've had thoughts along similar lines.

The neo-cons' plan for this country -- outlined in the Project for the New American Century -- dictates that never again will the United States let any nation challenge its dominance in the world. We start by waging war against terrorist (or at least evil) nations...with the rest of the world watching and wondering who's next. We thus confirm terrorists' worst fears, which in turn helps them obtain even more recruits; and we worry our allies.

What happens on the day when we go too far, when even our allies begin to view us not only with suspicion but with outright alarm? At the point when our allies finally decide to stop just watching from the sidelines and to directly confront our autocratic behavior, then we have the potential makings of, literally, a third world war, with the U.S. on one side, and the rest of the world on the other. And in this one, we would not be on the side of the angels.

    Does this sound familliar?

The similarities to Bush's first-term speeches whein the word "marxism" above becomes the word "Liberal" today is chilling and striking. The rest of that PR piece can be found here.

Granted. Still, there is no guarantee that the ends will be as similar as the means. In other words, great propagandizing they both may be, but there is no guarantee that the aims are equateable, other than the pursuit of power.

    Touche.

This country has more built-in safeguards than Germany ever did.

However history has shown that a properly "prepared" populace can be convinced an atrocity will only effect their neighbor.... never they themselves... they'll support monsterous acts as "pre-emptive defense" and "for the good of the Nation". This was the essence of the 3rd reich's success and has been the pattern followed by the Neocons.
