Ok so I want to re-install snow leopard on my imac early 2007 I have the Sl disks but I don't have my copy of iwork 09 and ilife 11. I installed it on my imac before I sold the disks. now I want to know how I can take my apps that I want to save to a flash drive. So could I just copy the application directly to the 4gb flash drive or do I have to copy some file along with the app?

legally we are all renting them

I sold the disks to buy a lava lamp if you must know

Precisely why you're not legally allowed to sell them. By you selling the discs the new owner is not legally licensing the software. iLife and iWork aren't drag and drop applications. They install from an install package which is why it's necessary to keep the discs. A lava lamp? Hmph.

I'm a rolling stone.
Copying the Apps over will not work here, they both install files in other places.

Example: iWork screenshot, where it installs supporting files.
