I've downloaded two webcam widgets and can't figure out how to add feeds from my prefered webcams. Currently I'm using the SlothCam 2.41 widget and the webcams I'm trying to load are as follows:

    http://www.h2omedia.com/baycam/baycam05.htm
    http://63.162.154.253:80/Camera1.html

I've tried looking at "view source" without any luck. Pasting those addresses into the Sloth Cam widget doesn't work - it shows nothing at all. I'm presuming it's because they are both html, and all the other listed webcam feeds are .jpg or the like. If anybody could help me figure out what the image file address of these cams is, it would be hugely appreciated!

And yep, I've got e-mails on the way to both the webcam administrators and the Sloth Cam people...

    cheers,
    -tom

Many thanks, I actually got a e-mail from the developer within an hour saying as much!

now, a far more tricky webcam site that I'm trying to find the sources for...

    http://calumetisle.com/webcam/default.htm
    http://calumet.dyndns.org:39/view/index.shtml

The site doesn't work properly for me in Safari, but it does in Internet Explorer (yuck...) there's actually 9 separate webcams there, which users can control right from the webpage. I'd love to add them to the SlothCam as well, but the source code is much tougher for me to dig around in, and without it working in Safari it hurts even worse! Plus, from what I've seen, it looks like the site is on the slower side of things.

All that said, I'll be very impressed if someone can dig up the source images for those 9 webcams!

And many, many cheers to Jax who created the SlothCam - it's now my far and away favorite widget, and he just released a new 2.5 version tonight... Yay!
    Cheers,

I looked into the other cams, they all seem to be axis mjpg-unicast file types, accessable via cgi. When you plug them into Sloth Cam none of them seem to work. I'm not totally up on all the different cam types and formats, so maybe someone has another idea on how to view them through the widget, but I don't see any way myself.

I'm the developer of the SlothCam widget (and the new iOS version of SlothCam too). If you need help extracting a jpeg image URL from a webcam, feel free to email me. I can usually figure out how to find the jpeg source of most webcams, even some Flash ones.

In general, if it's an HTML or javascript based webcam, you can usually just, hold control and click on the image you want, and select "open image in new window" to find the jpeg image url.
