Does Adium or OS X block a file transfer because of its size? I have been trying to send a zip file to my friend of about 150 MBs and it cancels everytime on its own at about 26%. I also tried a different zip file to another friend which was around 200 MB and same thing happened. Whats the deal?

adium doesn't do file transfer worth a crap. I use adium for chat but if I need to send a file I revert to the services own app. ichat handles large file transfers very well.

thats too slow no matter what app your using. try www.yousendit.com although that file might be too big to send all at once with a free acount

I get my full bandwidth speed when I use ichat to send or get large files.

adium file transfer fails 95% of the time for me. I'm close to deleting the program and using something else, maybe back to ichat.
