    Slight paraphrasing:

    "Dear Steve Jobs:

    What's the deal?

We just shelled out all this money for new G4s, and then the G5 comes out.

Seriously, it was like a week later.

    70/30 Productions (Sealab 2021)"

This was on yet another AS bumper about three minutes ago. Thought it was funny......but if they were up on this site they would have known that! Would someone email Adult Swim and tell them to get with it?

Yeah I saw that, but really, if they spent the money and it hasn't arived I've heard of apple canceling orders or exchanging...

Stories like 'AHH omg I just orderd ____ and the new ___ came out! what can I do?!?!' and they could always cancel...

GOD DAMNIT APPLE. QUIT UPDATING YOUR PRODUCTS!

I hate when new stuff comes out!

Now, seriously, I think apple should update more and more often. The PC world is under constant updates and I wish the apple world wasn't so.... stagnant.

But, yes, they should have been checking out macrumors. ;)

Re: Adult Swim meets Apple Part Deux

This is a silly argument - if you think about who's got G5s now (pretty much no one and they'll be shipping later this month or even into Sept.) these guys got new machines so they actually could get work done for several months.

And I'm on the fence right now about getting a new G5 or waiting for the rev B.

I think they were being cute...this isn't their first reference to Apple in their Sunday AS bumpers.

Of course, the Sealab 2021 team isn't exactly funded like your average TV show, if you've ever watched it you know what I'm talking about. It's kinda like Space Ghost Coast to Coast...

like the episode where 90% of it, all you see is the outside of the sealab...because the power is out on the inside...that was a classic...yet very cheap episode.

My very favorite is the Bizarro Sealab episode. That one was hilarious -- especially if you always thought Bizarro Superman was an idiot...

There was also an adult swim a couple of nights ago thanking Woz and Jobs for something. I don't remember exactly what.

I just think that the fact Adult Swim is making funny little comments about Apple is great. It's exposure.

    And Job, great screen caps.

Yes, aherm, Job (not MGU) if you hadn't posted those I never would have seen the second part.

@ Perci mac, there's a thread I started called "Adult Swim Salutes Apple" which has a paraphrasing of that bit thanking Woz and Jobs.

just out of curiousity, what kind of setup do you have to do the screen captures?

    Adult Swim

Yes I remember that one too! Took me by surprise. I guess we know what kind of computers Adult Swim uses, not to mention Cartoon Network.

Until I saw that I had no idea that the cartoon network/adult swim was mac based. That G4 and G5 one really surprised me. It's cool at least one major animation company realizes the creative value and power of a mac, even if most of the general population doesn't.

Hehe, I really thing only the Sealab guys and personally Williams Street Studios (Did I get that right?)... And they make 3 Shows... SeaLab 2021, Aqua Teen Hunger and Space Ghost Coast to Coast So I believe they get the most air time, also I think they get to produce the cards for all of the shows...

    so...

Anyway has anyone been watching FLCL?
Whats up with that man, I love it, but its crazy.

I got the captures from a friend of a friend, so I can't claim that I took them.

I'm not sure what he used to take them either.

Funny and free publicity. It's small, but think about it. Who watches adult swim? Nerdy (I prefer highly intelligent) computers users, PC and Mac, and Linux, too.

Hilarious, though. I'm telling you, the little commercial break messages in AS are perhaps the best part of the whole thing.

I'm a huge fan of Family guy. But I like Sealab and Space Ghost Coast to Coast as well.

    Good stuff.

Speaking of the cool messages, I think that they are reader submissions. I went over to Adultswim.com and saw that you can join their board and put in your own submissions.

Maybe we should all see if we can get a MacRumors "shout out" on there.

iirc, there was a sealab ep about 'sealab: the movie' and they had a scene with the animators, and they had a power mac in their office.

i haven't seen AS in awhile though..have they had new sealabs, home movies, or aqua teens?

Trigun is truly great. I'm thinking about buying (buying=convincing my parents to buy me) the box set. The price has come down a little, I do believe. It's still really high at $170.
