    Hi all,
I'm trying to set up AoE2 multiplayer game over an airport network.
Any help out there? I keep getting "insert disc" on both machines. Although I only have one disc, Iv'e read on another AOE2 site that 1 disk multiplayer in Windoze is possible. Moreover the documentation makes no mention of additional disks. Is it NOT possible to play multiplayer games without additional disks on the mac side?

thanks in advance for your reply

You can use Disk Copy/Disk Utility to make a disk image of the CD. When mounted, AOEII will think that's the CD and work just fine.

Be warned, it takes about 450 MB of hard disk space to do.

    Thanks Dave,
We were able to copy the disk, mount it and connect to eachother... Let the fun begin...
My son is still stoked about the chance to school his old man.

when playing age of empires 2 on a laptop, even if not multiplayer, I use a disk images so that the computer doesn't have to use the cd drive. The cd drive dramatically lowers the battery life, so disk image gets me more play time.

By the way, you should check out www.Gameranger.com. Gameranger is the best Macintosh online game community and has lots of AOE2 players, including myself.
