I was trying to do a lan game of AOE II and when it begins the load it, it randomly closes itself. I think its because both of our laptops are "too good" and have core 2 duo's... are there any patches, or any being made.. Is there any way that you can turn off one of the cores. Thanks..

There is an update (version 1.0.5) available from Mac Soft Games:
    http://www.macsoftgames.com/products/age2/support/MacSoft-Age2-Support.html

It is meant to fix networking problems.

I don't think the problem is the Core 2 Duo but the Airport wireless networking.

We were playing 4 player Lan with two ethernet connected computers and two airport connected computers and found that if you hosted from an airport computer, you get "out of sync" errors etc (even with the update) very frequently. If we hosted from an ethernet connected Mac (a Powerbook G4) it would work just fine. (Also, one of the Macs is a Core 2 Duo iMac and it works with no problems when joining )

Try connecting the two computers via an ethernet crossover cable.
