    Just a couple of question

    1) age of mythology is a directx game. How did they port it over to macs. did they rewrite the code in opengl, or are using some emulation to get it to work

    2) my pc friend just bought a ibook (with tiger) and AOM and he was angry that online gaming on macs sucked, and he was having lot of network problems. Does anyone know what the problem is.

Yes, they rewrote it to use OpenGL, like has been done with many other games.

Dunno about the networking thing. You'd probably have to provide more details.

With the Age Of Empires series the only way to play online is mac to mac. It is because Microsoft uses Direct play for network gaming. There is no way to play AOE AOEII or AOM cross platform. Games that work on a TCP/IP protocol work fine cross platform. Unfortunate, but a drawback of the series
