AIM Chat Over Gmail

    yes it does look interesting, but ...

    I did some digging, and looks like if you log into AOL through google/gmail then AOL people show up...

    but it does not look like it works the other way around. I assume most people would like to log into their ichat via AOL/.mac and then be able to see the google talk people also. Yes I know you can add google talk people already in ichat through bonjour (i think) but that is seperate window and all, would be nice to ALL in the same window, like Adium

    I agree, an option to shuffle all your buddies into one list would be nice. A little icon could show what service each buddy is on, and it could gain a popup triangle to show more than one--with your preference (I like AIM) being the default if you don't change it.

    And it would be nice if the iChat menu icon showed ALL your buddy lists instead of a choice of one, too.

    Adium already does all of that in one way or another. The only problem with Adium is no voice/video support. At least not yet.

    iChat is shiny, but I can't imagine anyone ever actually using it as a primary chat client.
