At the moment, I have a Windows Packard Bell laptop with a Microsoft wireless notebook adapter (54MBps). We have just had a conservatory built onto our house, and rather annoyingly, I get absolutely no wireless signal in there.

I was just wondering, with my MacBook, which I should have in the next couple of weeks (ordered yesterday) is it's airport extreme known for having a much better range than many other wireless adapters?

    Many thanks.

Yeah, the MacBook apparently gets excellent reception, as did the older iBook G4. :)

I don't know about much better, but it's good.

Well on my old powerbook titanium I saw in the place, where I was living, about one or two networks. With my MacBook Pro it was about ten. But I think it was also close to ten with a Dell Laptop I had for some time.
