I have a 160 gig lacie hardrive (triple interface) and a 320 gig (they were for different computers).

I am planning on buying a Macpro, upgrading my internet to 802.11 n (with new airport extreme) and getting ITV (for the entertainment room).

My question is this, is it possible, and if is so is it recomended for me to connnect one of my external hardrives into the back of the USB port on the new Airport Extreme and then use that to connect to the other hardrive (using a firewire 800 cable) to daisy chain them.

Even though the connection between the two will not be faster than the USB 2.0 which the drives are connected to the wifi (actually my connection to them wont be that fast, it will only be as fast as 802.11n) but I am not sure if it is even possible to do a daisy chain with hardrives using Airport Extreme.

If someone has any insite please let me know,

it is not possible to do that. you can only daisy chain fw to fw (since your terminal connection is usb 2.0, it is not fw, therefore that wont work.

    it's insight not insite
